Becoming a mother reignited a creative spark I hadn’t realized I’d been missing - it brought me back to the joy of making things with my hands. I started with crochet, but before long I was working with watercolor, gouache, collage, dyes, inks, and all kinds of mixed media.
I’m based in Brooklyn, and I balance my creative work with a pretty full life as a physician, professor, author, wife, and mom of two. A lot of what I make is inspired by my children, flowers, travel, and living in this incredible city.
My focus is primarily on process over perfection. I like to revisit ideas, play with materials, and see what happens. Some of the best parts come from experimenting and discovering something unexpected along the way.
